Everonn signs MOU with University of Madras

Everonn will offer soft skills courses to the University Departments for the academic year 2010-11

CHENNAI, October 1st, 2010: Everonn Education Limited has signed an MOU with the 152 year old University of Madras to offer Soft Skills courses to the University Departments for the academic year 2010-11. The agreement was signed by Ms.Susha John, Director, Everonn Education Limited and Dr. P Saravanan, Registrar, University of Madras in the presence of Col. Dr. G Thiruvasagam, Vice Chancellor and Dr. P T Srinivasan, Dean.

Courses on Soft skills are intended to improve the communication skills and personality development of the students. They will help for the overall development of the students and will enhance the employability of the graduates. The courses are intended to bridge the gap between the skill requirements of the employer or industry and the competency of the students.

All PG students of the University for the academic year 2010-11 shall undergo courses on Soft Skills such as (1) Language and Communication in English (2) Spoken and Presentation Skills (3) Personality Enrichment (4) Computing Skills and (5) Foreign Language Skills, in addition to subject core and elective courses.

Col. Dr. G Thiruvasagam has also approved Everonn to establish a VSAT classroom in the campus of the University and the success of this project will soon see the VSAT facility extending to other affiliated colleges as well. This virtual classroom intends to bridge the industry-academia gap and provide students the benefit of guest lectures, special sessions from experts across the country.
